New York musicians are getting busy over the next few weeks, donating their time to fundraisers for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Japanese-born Yoko Ono will join her son Sean, Sonic Youth and other artists to be announced for a benefit concert at New York’s Miller Theatre at Columbia University on March 27.
Ono will also particiapted in April 9′s Concert for Japan at the Japan Society. That show will feature Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson and Phillip Glass. Proceeds from both events will go to the Japan Society’s Earthquake Relief Fund.
Dig a bit of ultra-classic Lou, when he recorded with the All-Night Workers.
