One-time bassist for Uriah Heep, A&R man for the Bee Gees publishing company and writer of a whole pile of hits (including Toto Coello‘s “I Eat Cannibals”), Barry Blue’s production resume contains its own share of hits.
Along with lesser known acts like Dead End Kids and a band named Javaroo, Buddy Blue applied his hitmaking touch to albums by Cheryl Lynn, to name one.
He also produced Bananarama‘s 1983 debut, Deep Sea Skiving, which included the UK hit, “Shy Boy,” plus covers of Paul Weller‘s “Doctor Love” and Steam‘s “Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye).”
