Founding Fathers: The Classics
The Classics - "Till Then" (Musictone, 1963)
Originally known as the Perennials, Founding Fathers the Classics were a quartet of doo-woppers best known for their 1963 hit, “‘Till Then.”

Not to be confused with their counterparts from the south, the Classics IV, the Classics were four friends from Brooklyn who grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same high school. Emil Stucchio, Tony Victor, Johnny Gambale and Jamie Troy started singing to together as the Perennials in 1958, honing their craft in local clubs.
After changing their name to the Classics, they connected with Musictone Records to record a doo-wop version of the classic Mills Brothers hit, “Till Then.”
After the song made a #20 showing on the pop chart, they recorded more singles for a number of other companies. None were success, an album was never released and the group disbanded in the mid-’60s.
The name has since been revived a few times, most recently in the early 2000s.
