Little is known about Joe Valino, possessor of one hit record back in the later months of December 1957.

We know that Joe Valino could croon a tune and that songwriter Dennise Haas Norwood was probably listening to Ravel’s Bolero when she penciled out the marching beat of “The Garden of Eden.”

We also know that Valino released a bunch of single but just one album in his career, a long player on the Debut label in 1968. But his hitmaking ship had long since sailed, his one chart-topper, “The Garden of Eden,” landing at #12 in December 1957.
