What a concept. The album, that is. We continue our survey of The Top 30 Concept Albums Of All Time with numbers twenty through eleven.
#20. The Mars Volta – Deloused in the Comatorium (2003)
Concept: The visions of a man who falls into a weeklong coma after attempting suicide with a mixture of rat poison and morphine.
#19. The Flaming Lips – Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002)
Concept: Frontman Wayne Coyne says otherwise but fans say the concept is all about Yoshimi’s battle with artificial emotion, melancholia, mortality and other breezy subjects.
#18. The Moody Blues – Days of Future Passed (1967)
Concept: A day in the life of everyman, albeit set to the grandeur of a symphony orchestra.
