Chaka Khan has scored herself a number of gold and platinum albums over the years, as both a solo act and as a member of Rufus. Let’s take a trip through her catalog and discover the most popular albums from her career.

As a member of Rufus, Chaka Khan has a hoard of gold and platinum records to her credit. Rags to Rufus was the first (a #4 album in 1974) followed by Rufusized (also from 1974), Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan (the first and only to include her name on the marquee), Ask Rufus (their one platinum seller), 1978′s Street Player and 1979′s Master Jam.

As a solo artist, Chaka’s done alright for herself, as well. Her first first solo set, Chaka, went gold in 1978 as did 1981′s What Cha’ Gonna Do for Me.
Her biggest seller of all should be no surprise to anyone. It was I Feel for You, the 1984 set whose Prince-written title yielded her lone gold single.
